When our children left home to go on the further their education we missed them greatly and decided to get animals to fill the void the boys had left.
I went out to buy a dog and Jill, my wife, went to buy a cat…..it turned out the other way around
I came back with two cats and Jill had found two dogs…
The two cats Mingus and Mungo were sisters and didn’t get on but they were great models, posing , sleeping and eating. When I heard what we were paying for their food I decided to make them work a living and started to painting them. SMALL CAT IN LARGE DOGS BED was the first of many cat paintings.
