After painting cats for a number of years I discovered that there were other animals out there waiting to be painted. First it was cows, I love the way they look at you, the stare that very young children give you, not blinking. Then came the sheep. This happened after Jill, my wife and I saw some newly shorn sheep shivering in the corner of a field near us. Jill said they should have some woolly jumpers on. So I painted some, these became the basis of the Enesco sculptures, the EWE AND ME series.
